The Ricochet high-speed wireless Internet service is bouncing back after new owner Aerie Networks bought its estimated $1 billion in assets in bankruptcy court for $8.25 million. Aerie is relaunching the service and tested it in Denver last week.

Aerie had to sort through Ricochet's equipment--500 semi-trailers' worth. Unpacking the gear was especially difficult because it wasn't inventoried and didn't include reassembly instructions. Joked Aerie VP John Dee: "We even found cases of pocket protectors in there."
