Salesforce.com has introduced a toolkit to enable developers to combine Google services with Salesforce's database and workflow functions. The Force.com Toolkit for Google Data APIs provide access to Google's programming interfaces from within Salesforce's programming language, which will enable the development of applications such as quote generation and business forecasting that integrate customer and sales data from Salesforce with Google's spreadsheet.

Last April, Salesforce introduced Salesforce for Google Apps, which integrated Google's e-mail, document, and messaging tools with Salesforce's application platform. According to Salesforce, six of the top 10 applications available through the company's AppExchange include Google applications.

The toolkit is available at no charge from either company, and applications can be published on AppExchange or on Google's Solutions Marketplace.information
