Topio, which makes software for data recovery over storage area networks, last week closed $10 million in venture-capital investment from Sequoia Capital and Sigma Partners, raising its funding total to $13 million. Topio, founded in 2001 by a group of former IBM and Cisco Systems executives, also says that Sigma managing director and former Cisco CIO Pete Solvik will join its board.
