Following a successful debut of its self-checkout, Shaw's Supermarkets of East Bridgewater, Mass., is extending the system to 30 newly remodeled stores. Citing "tremendous response from our customers," the company plans to add three NCR Self-Checkout systems per store between now and February 2002.
