Sprint announced Monday that it is offering a service that delivers streaming audio to mobile phones.

The company said the Music Choice streaming service will deliver channels of popular music. The service costs $6 a month and, at launch it was only available via the Sanyo MM-7400 phone. However, Sprint said in a statement that the service would be available on other phones in the near future.

The wireless operator already offers Sprint TV, which delivers 15 frame-per-second videos to phones.
