Operator says it will stop selling the HP h6315 Pocket PC phone until unspecified problems are fixed.
T-Mobile USA confirmed Wednesday that it has stopped selling a PDA/phone device from Hewlett-Packard because of unspecified problems.
"T-Mobile USA has suspended sales of the HP iPAQ h6315 Pocket PC," the company said in a statement. "We are currently working with HP to implement a software upgrade that will deliver an improved customer experience."
While neither HP nor T-Mobile said which specific problems would be corrected, a number of user sites complained about the stability of the device. A Mobile Pipeline review last November found that the device periodically froze during normal use.
T-Mobile said that the software upgrade will be given to existing users of the h6315 when it is available. HP has previously indicated that an entirely new model of the device will be released in the second quarter of this year.
