The federal government is investigating software company Ptech Inc. amid reports the company is controlled by Qassin al-Kadi, one of 12 Saudi businessmen accused of giving millions of dollars to Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terrorist group.
A spokesman with the U.S. Customs Service in Washington confirmed that federal agents had raided the Quincy, Mass., firm. Calls to Ptech were not returned by deadline.
Founded in 1994, Ptech develops business-modeling, analysis, and integration software. Its Web site lists partners such as Booz Allen Hamilton, KPMG, and IBM, and customers such as Aetna Inc., the Federal Aviation Administration, and the FBI.
