If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. But if you can't join 'em, rally! That's the battle-cry tactic being used by the group of unemployed technology, finance, and other business execs who have formed WeWantWork.

WeWantWork is an organization and Web site that will let out-of-work execs post resum?s, network, and search for jobs. The site will launch on Tuesday, and a group of unemployed professionals dressed in suits and poster boards are expected to "rally for their own employment" and "showcase their credentials on the streets of New York City," according to the open invitation to attend the 7-a.m.-to-noon rally at locations surrounding Grand Central Station, Park Avenue, and Rockefeller Center in Manhattan.

Following the street rally, participants will gather for an evening networking reception with hiring managers at Rockefeller Center. With IT hiring being sluggish and layoffs showing some signs of tapering off, it's no surprise that frustrated workers are taking the fate of their employment into their own hands. WeWantWork supporters promise to use proactive tactics to return to their career paths.
