Wayport Inc. has taken its wireless services for travelers a step beyond airports and hotel lobbies--reaching all the way into the guest room. It's beta testing a service that lets hotels offer high-speed wireless Internet access not just in the public spaces downstairs, but in every room.

Wayport's existing customer base of 420 hotels, including the Wyndham International and Four Seasons chains, now use its wireless service in lobbies and meeting rooms, but revert to wired Ethernet service in their combined total of 90,000 guest rooms.
