If you've wondered that recently, check out the Computer Security Video contest (www.educause.edu/SecurityVideoContest/7103). Sixty-two students from 17 universities submitted videos, vying for six awards in the contest, sponsored by Educause, a nonprofit that promotes computer security awareness, and the National Cyber Security Alliance.

Kevin Atef, a computer information systems senior at California State Polytechnic-Pomona, says he entered the contest with a video about phishing, produced with fellow students Michael Wong and Johnson Chau, because it was fun and challenging. "We thought we could warn other students about the vulnerabilities out there in an entertaining and informative way," Atef says. The three shared the $1,000 top prize in the single topic category for their video, "Bob, You've Been Phished."

Atef is optimistic about a possible career in IT security or computer forensics. "There are a lot of opportunities--companies are looking for people with tech savviness who can also see things from a business perspective."
