Think you're swamped? FedEx is handling a weekend's worth of e-commerce shopping today, leading the company to project that this will be the busiest day in the company's history. Tomorrow, you can join us for a Webinar with the head of e-commerce applications, and hear how things went.FedEx is forecasting this unprecedented activity as it handles all those packages from online shoppers who missed Friday's ship deadline, plus those who bought on Saturday and Sunday. Did those winter storms across the country keep even more people out of the malls, shopping online, and further loading up delivery trucks and planes? We should know on Tuesday.

That's when David Zanca, the senior VP of e-commerce applications, and I will be discussing FedEx's customer focus in a Webinar titled "How Innovators Are Using The Web To Engage Customers." You can sign up via this link. (10 a.m. New York time, 3 p.m. London) We'll discuss how Monday's flurry of activity went, and explore other topics around how FedEx is using the Internet to connect with customers in new ways.

Our discussion jumps off from a recent information article in which Marianne Kolbasuk McGee talks with FedEx CIO Rob Carter about how people need to change their thinking about e-business.

FedEx is among of the best in the business when it comes to IT teams aligning their work with business goals, being both responsive to business unit needs and helping lead new thinking. Join us for a discussion on how they stay plugged into customers, and what they're working on now.
