Microsoft chairman Bill Gates let slip on Friday that Windows 7 would be released sooner than expected.Speaking at the annual meeting of the Inter-American Development Bank, Gates implied that the next-gen operating system could appear sometime in 2009 -- ahead of Microsoft's typical three-year OS upgrade cycle. "I'm super enthused about what it will do in lots of ways," he was quoted by Reuters. "That'll be sometime in the next year or so that we'll have a new version."
