Grocery retailer Winn-Dixie Stores Inc., which recently launched an automated transportation management initiative, said Tuesday it has standardized on Workbrain Inc.'s RetailERM to automate workforce management for more than 110,000 employees in more than 1,000 grocery stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants.

RetailERM will automate operational human resources processes and provide company managers with real-time reports aimed at helping to control labor costs, improve customer service, and manage employees more efficiently.

Workbrain RetailERM is a Web-based system that provides applications for time capture, shift trading, uniform requisitions, personal information changes, vacation and leave requests, customized reporting, and employee/manager self service.

RetailERM is based on the Java 2 Enterprise Edition standard, which facilitates integration with its existing and future IT infrastructure.
