XM Satellite Radio and Samsung Electronics America Inc. on Wednesday launched a portable audio device that combine Internet radio with an MP3 music player.

The Helix XM2go player is the leading product in a new line of Samsung-XM music players. The Helix receives all 160 XM radio channels and can store MP3 and Microsoft's WMA music files, as well as XM content. The Helix also lets users bookmark songs heard on XM for online purchase from the combined XM-Napster music service.

In addition to the Helix XM2go, which will sell for $400, Samsung and XM unveiled a line of digital audio players that receive XM channels when connected to a home docking station or car dock. The Nexus 25 player, which is priced at $200, stores up to 25 hours of XM programming, and the Nexus 50, which will cost $250, stores up to 50 hours.

Like Helix, the Samsung Nexus players will let users bookmark songs for purchasing later from the XM-Napster online service.

All three products are scheduled for release in the first quarter.
