Canadian vendor Mail4ce has released an E-mail-compression software suite that relies on what the company says is the first gateway that compresses E-mail attachments outside a company's firewall. The Mail4ce Gateway is designed to slash 30% to 60% of the storage and bandwidth requirements companies now allot to E-mail. Mail4ce Gateway supports Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Software's Domino, POP, and other E-mail servers.
