The Air Force is soliciting proposals for the second phase of its Network Centric Solutions project, which, in total, could cost up to $24.2 billion.
The Air Force is looking for vendors for the NETCENTS 2 Enterprise Integration and Service Management requirement, according to the request for proposals. All proposals are due April 1.
The contract will provide services to support the migration of network-centric systems, according to the Air Force.
NETCENTS 2, the second phase of the Air Force's Network Centric Solutions program, is a five-year, $9 billion procurement program for a range of network services, including networking hardware and software, security, engineering, and systems integration.
The Air Force delayed its RFP several times for NETCENTS 2, according to published reports, but now anticipates giving out the first NETCENTS 2 awards in July. The Air Force plans to award six to nine contracts that could total $460 million, with a base duration of three years.
