Realm Business Solutions this summer plans to debut reporting and data warehouse applications designed for commercial real estate firms, the software company said Thursday.

The package, called Realm Insight, features a Web-based tool that shares reports based on a library of samples designed for the industry. Realm also will make an optional Excel plug-in for reports.

A data warehouse component of the product is designed to tap information within various Realm products and third-party systems such as property management applications.

The suite is built around Business Objects BI technology and customized by Realm, which specializes in technology for real estate companies. The Insight reporting tool is slated for June availability, while the data warehouse application will launch in July, Realm said.

Six real estate firms are testing the applications. No pricing information was available.
