BPM Partners released a performance management dashboard designed for use by companies in the healthcare industry, the first of several anticipated industry-specific tools the services firm plans to produce.

The Web-based dashboard, which is designed to work with multiple BPM vendors' applications, is pre-populated with metrics and measures for healthcare firms and also allows companies to add their own metrics. It includes pre-built charts, graphs and gauges.

Eighty percent of the metrics companies want to measure as part of performance management initiatives are the same as those measured by similar organizations, CEO Craig Schiff of BPM Partners said in a statement. Examples of measures for the healthcare industry would include total admissions, patient satisfaction, mortality rates and unplanned returns to surgery.

BPM Partners is a founding member of the BPM Standards Group, a coalition of vendors that has sought to create definitions and standards around the practice of business performance management.
