Collaboration Platform 3.0 features a widget-based collaboration architecture. Four new CEM solutions are designed for collaboratively managing the enterprise.
A cloud-based platform from nGenera, compatible with Microsoft's SharePoint and Google's OpenSocial, made its debut at this week's Enterprise 2.0. The company also unveiled four collaborative enterprise management (CEM) solutions at the conference.
The nGenera Collaboration Platform 3.0 features a widget-based collaboration architecture with more than 30 widgets. It has the capability of integrating third-party applications including Google Wave, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other popular apps. The platform also delivers various people-aware collaborative applications and has enhanced security and administration features.
"Over the last few years the promise of Web 2.0, collaboration and social networking for the enterprise has created a lot of buzz and an avalanche of vendor offerings, said Steve Papermaster, nGenera's founder and CEO, who added that the new platform is designed to tie those collaborative pieces together and deliver effective results.
The four new CEM solutions are designed to deliver successful business outcomes, the company said. The nGen Enterprise Collaboration works to build a collaboration road map with enterprises for deployment on a collaboration platform. And nGen Collaborative Selling solution builds selling channels and leverages Sales 2.0 processes and technologies.
The nGen Customer Experience solution deploys collaborative processes designed to improve the customer experience. Finally, the nGen Talent Management solution enables users to more effectively manage the talent base of their organizations.
"Up until now the focus has largely been on managing collaborative tools, such as wikis and blogs," said Don Tapscott, a senior nGenera executive, in a statement. "The breakthrough CEM is that it is about collaboratively managing the enterprise."
