GERS Retail Systems, a maker of technologies for managing retail stores, will incorporate business performance management capabilities into its planning and analytics tools, the company said Thursday.

The new BPM functionality includes dashboards designed specifically for the retail industry, analytics wizards for planning and forecasting, templates to support business projections and evaluations, alerts functions and auditing and tracking capability. The technology is designed to allow retailers to base decisions on current and forward-looking information in addition to historical data.

GERS plans to introduce the BPM capability next week at the Retail Systems 2004 show in Chicago.
