HootSuite Command Center Comes To The Big ScreenHootSuite Command Center Comes To The Big Screen
Command Center version of HootSuite Enterprise offers visualizations optimized for big-screen displays.
HootSuite wants to help put you in command of social media, ready to respond to any trend, crisis, or opportunity.
HootSuite Command Center, which will be delivered as an add-on to HootSuite Enterprise, is a version of the social media management service with big-screen visualizations designed for those showpiece mission control-like environments some corporate social media teams have been building. A command center allows the team to watch together in real time as trends emerge from social media monitoring and analytic tools.
"As we tracked this trend about businesses creating command centers, we found we were already powering a lot of them," said Matt Switzer, vice president of partnerships at HootSuite. HootSuite won't take part in the actual physical setup of the computers and displays that make up a command center, but the company plans to work through its agency partners to do so.

The command center concept has been part of Dell's social media strategy since 2010, and Dell has worked in partnership with Radian6 (now part of Salesforce.com's Marketing Cloud) to build command centers for the likes of Clemson University and the Red Cross.
HootSuite is a popular social media management tool, available in free and paid editions, that has been working to move upmarket with enterprise and team editions of its software-as-a-service product.
In addition to big-screen visualization of a company's key social media metrics, HootSuite said its command center edition will include additional tools for coordinating the response to social media events and delivering timely analytics to mobile devices. Switzer said pricing will vary depending on the number of dashboards a customer wishes to configure and will be negotiated "on a one-off basis for the time being."
In a blog post, HootSuite invited interested customers to be notified as soon as the product is available.
