Online business application provider NetSuite on Wednesday launched NetSuite Small Business, a renamed and revamped version of its earlier Oracle Small Business Suite, and took on Intuit's Quicken with migration tools and features that mimic that popular small business accounting software.

NetSuite Small Business, which includes Web-based applications to manage sales, contacts, financials, and ecommerce, has been retooled to directly compete with QuickBooks, said the San Mateo, Calif.-based firm.

The QuickBooks angle is a natural, since Intuit's small business accounting package has the biggest market share in the space.

Small Business incorporates features designed to ease the transition from QuickBooks, said NetSuite, including mimicking how QuickBooks tracks vendors, invoices customers, and pays bills. The on-demand suite also uses QuickBook-like terminology, navigation, and menus, and prints to most QuickBooks checks, forms, and deposit slips.

The suite also includes a migration wizard to help customers move important data out of QuickBooks and into NetSuite Small Business.

NetSuite Small Business costs $99 per month for the first user, $49 per month for each additional user.
