Vertex Interactive Inc. a provider of software technology for order fulfillment and warehouse management, announced the release of Release 3.0 of its Linux-based order fulfillment system. The system provides an easy migration path for companies currently operating on legacy order fulfillment systems that seek to move to current technologies based on Linux. The system is designed for rapid and easy implementation. Once installed users have access to the most advanced operating platforms and databases.

Bob Schilt, Vertex's Chief Technical Officer, explained, "This is an elegant solution for companies with legacy based systems that need to port their order fulfillment function on to the Linux platform, with all the benefits of easy access to the latest technologies available through the Linux open system. That means access to the fastest file servers from manufacturers such as IBM, Dell and Hewlett-Packard, as well as seamless access to industry-standard databases such as Informix, Oracle and [SQL Server]."
