Context Media Inc., whose content-integration technology has helped companies pull content from multiple resources and formatted them for publishing via portals, has taken a major leap by developing a portal dashboard that will let portal managers publish content to all their corporate portals in a single operation.

For Context customers such as Citigroup, which operates more than 400 portals on multiple portal platforms, that will mean a huge time savings, as Context's Interchange PortalPlus is designed to let portal managers do in a single click what previously might have required more than 400 operations. It also will ease the burden of companies having to write portlets for exposing content via Web services. The result is expected to be improved access to content for users.

Context's Interchange PortalPlus is available immediately for portals supported by the SunOne Portal Server 6. Versions for BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere will be available in the fourth quarter of this year. Pricing starts at $25,000.
