Latest version of vendor's contract-management software helps integrate legal forms with other applications.
Determine Software Inc. has released a new version of its contract-management software designed to make it easier for companies to model complex documents, such as legal forms and contracts, and then integrate them with other applications.
According to Jon Corshen, VP of marketing with Determine Software, the goal is to help customers turn complex documents from the filing cabinet into useable data that can be shared with strategic partners and suppliers.
The new Contract Process Management platform includes an enhanced Composer Toolset, which helps nontechnical users configure custom contract templates and business processes. Users can define the parameters, forms, and contract templates that determine the actionable data in any contract. These templates and forms can be accessed via a Determine Library, or via a custom-developed library.
A reporting and rules engine ensures that any time a parameter or form is added, it can be immediately reported on while adhering to established access permissions--all without requiring database table updates or system recompiles. The rules engine uses XML scripts.
The software also includes CrossLink Desktop Connectors so contract processes can be integrated directly into desktop applications, including Microsoft's Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, as well as handheld devices and cell phones.
The software is available now.
