Mandrakesoft on Wednesday shipped a version of its Linux operating system for x86 64-bit platforms.
The latest version of Mandrakelinux 10.1 supports Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s Athlon and Opteron processors, and Intel Corp.'s Xeon 64 and EM64T, officials with the Paris-based company said.
Mandrakelinux ships with a variety of software, such as the OpenOffice productivity suite, the Mozilla Internet browser, multimedia applications and development tools.
