New technology will provide users with e-commerce capabilities and Web access to Business One CRM software.
SAP is expanding the e-commerce and Web-based CRM capabilities of its Business One applications for small businesses through the acquisition of Praxis Software Solutions, SAP said Monday.
SAP bought privately held Praxis late last month, but the software vendor just announced the acquisition Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Praxis' staff has joined SAP's labs organization, according to Dan Kraus, SAP Business One VP.
The Business One suite includes financial, CRM, and line-of-business applications for companies with $10 million to $50 million in annual sales. The Praxis acquisition will add capabilities to the suite, including catalog and pricing management and shopping cart functions, needed to set up an e-commerce Web site. The Praxis technology will also provide a way for users to access the Business One CRM software through the Web. Because Praxis was an SAP business partner, its software is already integrated with the SAP products.
